This coveted honor is actually easy to attain, however, there are a few important guidelines to remember as you strike out to pull in this honorary award.

The first guideline is to persist.
Persistence is a key lesson to teach to your junior partner and it is something we all need to have in life if we ever want to achieve our dreams. Never give up your dream of being the Partnership of the Month.

The second guideline is to do what you say you will do.
Remember that Agreement you signed? In that agreement a few requirements where mentioned. When pursuing the Partnership of the Month, be sure to fulfill your requirements. In review, those requirements are:
• Spend a minimum of 3 hours together every week
• Complete a Volunteer Service Project together during your partnership
• Participate in no less than 3 Group Activities
• Initiate and Maintain regular contact with Case Manager
• Send Monthly Hours and Activity Report to Case Manager by the 5th of each month

The third guideline is to over deliver on your promises
This is the key to locking in your Partnership of the Month Ceremony. Over-deliver on your promises to your junior partner. What does this look like?
• Spend more than three hours a week with your partner
• Complete more than 1 volunteer service project
• Attend group activities all the time
• Have wonderful communication with your case manager—i.e. reply to every email, phone call, and send monthly hours and activity summaries before the end of every month.

That is it. We usually discuss who the Partnership of the Month is going to be near the end of each month. We select the partnership that does what they say they will do and actually over delivers on their promises. I will note that creativity in activities does play for high points in our minds. Therefore, if you choose to aimlessly ride your townies around the town or play hide-n’-seek in Wal-Mart—you may get priority over a partnership who watches movies.

Have you been in the Partnership of the Month?
What do you think did it for you?
