School-Based Mentoring:

Some objectives of our School-Based Mentoring Program are...

We ask In-School Mentors to spend a minimum of one to one and a half hour a week with their Junior Partner. Although your main objective is to provide a boost in school success, you are also building a relationship based in academic mentoring. Your consistency is essential in the development of the Partnership.

Aside from a weekly commitment we ask our volunteers to commit to working with their Junior Partner for the duration of the school year. During this time it is very important to keep in close contact with both the Partners Case Manager and the student’s teacher.
