Grab your bike and come pedal in the 2013 Growler Gran Fondo fundraising ride to support Gunnison Country Partners.
The Start/Finish will be at Main and Virginia in Gunnison. There will be a police escort leading the riders out of town until they pass the last stop light on Hwy 135 and Spencer. The route follows Hwy 135 North to the 4-way in Crested Butte. At that point the riders have an option to continue up the road past Mt Crested Butte and up to the top of Prospector. There will be a few timed sections on the route. At that point the riders will reverse direction and return back to Gunnison the way they came. The total route distance is approximately 64 miles and has 2200 feet of climbing. Aid stations will be located periodically throughout the ride. There will be awards for the top 3 men and 3 women for the timed sections.
For those of you who don’t want to do the Growler Gran Fondo, there will be a Townie Ride where you can cruise on your townie around the college and in to town wearing your best costume, Registration is below.
